Céline Dion mourned her late brother,Daniel, during a memorial service held in Repentigny, Quebec, on Saturday, January 23 — just one day after remembering her husband, René Angélil, at his funeral.
Daniel will be buried at Saints-Simon-et-Jude Church in Charlemagne on Monday, January 25, the CTV News Montreal reports.
The iconic singer’s older brother died after a battle with cancer just one week ago, on Saturday, January 16.
“It’s very painful. It’s a matter of days or hours,” Dion’s sister Claudette told the Journal of Montreal just prior to his death. “It looks a lot like René, he had cancer of the throat, tongue and brain. Our family is very experienced.”
